References

As well as many internet resources, there are a number of written references that have helped build the Masterton story. At the time of writing, these are not all available on-line. This means that full reliance must be placed on the quality of the indices when consulted. In general, the indices prepared by HM General Register House publications are quite comprehensive, but nevertheless, until the documents are scanned and can be searched digitally by keyword, there is a risk that the drudgery of index-building has led to some omissions. Here is a selection of the most useful reference documents, for which all published volumes listed have been seen. Where volumes in a series are not listed, these have been consulted, but no Mastertons have been found. Most have been sourced at the British Library Reading Rooms in London.

In the tables below, if the editor's name is also a hyperlink, the link will take you to the title page of that entire volume in the Internet Archive.
