Robert Shaw Masterton (1877-1947)
Church of Scotland Minister
Robert Shaw Masterton was educated at Glasgow University and served as an assistant minister of the Church of Scotland at Kintyre, Buenos Aires (1902-04) and Shettleston and finally as minister at Rosemarkie, on the Black Isle, near Fortrose in 1908, serving his parishioners there for 37 years until retiring due to ill-health in 1945.

Robert Shaw Masterton was the second son of James Boe Masterton, engineer, and Agnes Shaw. James Boe Masterton was born in Coatbridge in 1845, his father, also James, having moved there from Biggar to work at the Calder Ironworks.
