Bertha married as a teenager, lived in Simcoe and had one son, Bud Wilson, who now lives in Hamilton. Greta went to Teachers College in Hamilton (it was called Normal School, back then). She was my favorite baby-sitter. She married a high school teacher, lived in Hamilton and adopted 2 children (a boy and a girl).

177 Chelsea Pensioner, probably through invalidity. His Regiment was part of Campbell's Brigade at the 3rd Siege of Badajoz. In the main battle (16 MArch - 6 April 1812) an Anglo-Portuguese army under the Earl of Wellington forced the surrender of the French Garrison. The siege was a costly victory with some 3000 allied troops killed and as many as 4000 Spanish civilians massacerd by the allied troops after the battle. The 94th Regiment of Foot was raised in 1793-4 as an unnumbered company, and numbered the 94th in 1803. After winning many laurels in India and the Peninsula, it was disbanded in 1818. GARLAND John (I620)
